Iphone 8 and 8 plus Camera Test Results
Iphone 8 and 8 plus camera gets top rank after test

if our review didn't convince you that the in the latest iPhones are somthing special, perhaps DxOMark’s lab-heavy
evaluation process will do the trick. The camera
testing site unequivocally states that the iPhone 8 and 8 plus have the best smartphone cameras it's ever tested though they aren't without their flaws.
Where the camera quality of mobiles are rising day by day to get the good shot, and don't want to have to worry about using "low light mode" or watch helplessly as the struggles to focus properly on your puppy's gambols.
On these occasions, the iPhones excel, offering accurate auto focus, extremely good detail in most lighting situations, and superior performance in the faux-bokeh category everyone is so hot on these days. The zoom in the Plus is also best-in-class, though in smartphones that still remains a bit like a dog walking on its hind legs — it’s amazing that it works at all.
It beat out its nearest competitors, the excellent Pixel and HTC U11, which topped the charts until today in most categories. Low light detail and HDR performance gave the iPhone an edge, and it’s much more natural background blur function wins handily (especially in the Plus).
DxOMark includes plenty of context and sample pictures that are worth perusing. One in particular stood out to me, however:

here’s still plenty to improve. The auto focus, while accurate (which really is the most important thing), isn’t the quickest. Video, while good, is judged to fall behind the Pixel’s. Portrait mode still produces artifacts around the borders of the blur, but far less noticeable ones than the Pixel. And they didn’t mention the studio lighting mode, possibly because like me they think it looks pretty bad most of the time.

It’s a well-earned victory by Apple, but the competition is about to strike back: the new Pixel is set to arrive soon. As Matthew pointed out in the review, smartphone reviews are quickly turning into camera reviews, and Google knows that as well as anyone else. We’ll see what the competition brings to the table on October 4, when it’s set to be unveiled.

Twitter trials For Expand tweet characters
Twitter trials For Expand tweet characters 140 to 280
Twitter first time is expanding beyond its 140-Character limit. The company announced yesterday. The social network says it will now try out a longer limit of 280 Characters in all Languages. People to share their Expanded thoughts without running out of room to tweet.
The company says that it came to the decision to expand the character count because it realized the character count limit more impacted those tweeting in all languages like English,French,Korean,Chinese and Urdu.
As the company explains via a blog post, the latter group could convey about double the amount of information in one character, compared with the former.Twitter then studied that meant, in terms of tweets length in various regions, and found that only 0.4 Percent of tweets in Japanese have 140 characters, but a larger 9 percent of English tweets did.
It also found that most Japanese tweets are 15 Character on average, compared with 34 characters for most English-language tweets.
Because the new 280-characters limit will only roll out to those languages affected by "cramming" which Twitter says is all languages expect Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
The change is a notable move for the social network, whose users
for years have been debating the merits of an expanded character count.
While some have argued that
doing so would make Twitter feel less restrictive and more likely to
encourage longer conversations, others have said that Twitter’s focus on
brevity is its biggest differentiator, and, in fact, the very essence of
its service.
Twitter, for its part, has
historically nixed the idea.
Just last year, for example, Twitter
CEO Jack Dorsey responded to a report that Twitter was testing a
10,000-character limit for tweets by saying that the 140-character limit
was “a beautiful constraint” and that Twitter “will never lose that feeling.”
In more recent months, however,
the company has started to distance itself from the 140-character limit — a
move it made because the service is now regularly used to share posts that
extend beyond just text. With Twitter’s ability to host photos, GIFs, polls,
video and quoted tweets, it needed a way to allow users to both post media and
their thoughts, all in the same tweet.
In Spring 2016, Twitter
stopped counting that sort of media toward the character count, then this
March more controversially changed the nature of how @replies work done its
service. Again, the goal with the change was to free up more space in tweets
for users’ own thoughts and comments — this time, by moving the @reply out of
the tweet’s text field to become a piece of metadata instead.
New Twitter compose screen no longer shows character count:
As to why Twitter is finally dipping its toe in the water of a
longer text limit at last, that answer is stated in Twitter’s announcement.
“In all markets, when people
don’t have to cram their thoughts into 140 characters and actually have some to
spare, we see more people tweeting,” the company says.
"A Twitter spokesperson
clarified to us that this understanding is not the result of having already
publicly beta tested the 280-character count, but rather its observations of
how different language users tweet. That is, in markets where there’s more room
to tweet, people tweet more".

WhatsApp Blocked in China:
Does a WhatsApp Massenger work in China?
WhatsApp has been widely blocked in mainland China by the country’s government, with text messaging as well as photo and video sharing not currently functional. However, WhatsApp had previously been blocked in the country and seen those blocks lifted within a few days, so it’s unclear how long the chat app may remain inaccessible.
The New York Times reported today that WhatsApp had been “broadly disrupted in China”. TechCrunch has received reports that while many users lost access beginning Sunday night, some in mainland China can still send and receive WhatsApp messages. WhatsApp declined to comment on the blockage.
WhatsApp’s ability to send videos, photos, and files was blocked in China in July, but allowed again a few weeks later.
It’s possible that the shut down is in anticipation of the Communist Party’s congress to be held in Beijing next month. WhatsApp may have been targeted because of its strong encryption features lacked by services like Skype and Apple’s FaceTime that are allowed to operate in China. Encrypted messaging could be used by political dissidents organizing against the government.
If the ban is lifted, it could serve as a show of power by the Chinese government, and might dissaude users seeking to rely on an encrypted messaging service in the country. But if the ban is left in place, it could disrupt businesses that rely on WhatsApp to communicate with customers. It would also be a big step back for parent company Facebook’s relations with China.
Facebook has long been banned in mainland China, like other foreign social media broadcasting services. But Facebook was discovered to have built a Chinese version of its private photo sharing app Moments in China called Colorful Balloons and distributed it under the inconspicuous company name Youge Internet Technology. It’s unclear whether the Chinese government was aware that Facebook was behind the app prior to the New York Time’s expose.
Facebook reportedly built a last year that could be applied to its main social network, which could appeal to Chinese regulators who currently maintain a ban on Facebook in the country. But the Colorful Balloons situation, the July partial ban of WhatsApp, and today’s blockage could signal that Facebook’s relationship with China is fraying rather than strengthening.
As Facebook hits use growth saturation in many parts of the world, China remains an untapped opportunity for growth. The company has long-held that partial access to its services, even with censorship, is better than no access since it can connect people to loved ones and knowledge that can help them improve their lot in life. But working with censors and a government known for hostility towards human rights activists could force Facebook to contradict some of its values or leave dissidents vulnerable.
Given Facebook’s tricky situation at home in the US as it deals with fake news and election interference initiated by Russian operatives, it may not have the bandwidth to focus on furthering relations with China.
