What is IMEI of Mobiles:

                                                                The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number is a unique identification or serial number that all mobiles phones and smartphones have. It is normally 15 digits long. The IMEI number can be

found on the silver sticker on the back of your phone, under the battery pack or under the back cover of the mobile. You can also display the IMEL number on the screen of your mobile phone or smartphone by entering *#06# into the keyboard.
Why Should IMEI Care?

                                                             The main purpose of the IMEI is to provide each device with a unique identification. In practice, the IMEI is very similar to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) used in the automotive industry. Although sometimes confused, the IMEI number is

entirely separate from your SIM number and cannot be changed. When you connect to a cell network, the provider captures both numbers to enable their service. The SIM number identifies your subscriber account, while the IMEI only identifies the device.

Public Notice for Mobile users in Pakistan

Public Notice: All mobile devices including non-compliant (having SIM/IMEI functionality) active on Pakistani mobile networks till 1st December, will remain operational without service interruption. Non-compliant mobile devices will be paired with a user's mobile number.

To check the status of your mobile device, kindly dial *#06# from the dialer of the mobile device, after receiving each 15 digit IMEI number (dual SIM), send each 15 digit IMEI number via SMS to short code 8484.
