Chinese smartphone manufacturer Company Vivo unveiled the world’s first ready-to-produce in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone at CES 2018.
The Worlds smart-Phone Vivo in-display fingerprint scanning smartphone offers its consumers an unprecedented mobile experience, defining a new era of mobile interaction.
The new Vivo smartphone is bezel-less, comes without a home button on the display which gives phone’s screen more wider and dashing look. The phone will be a trendsetter for upcoming smartphones, as it has a quite impressive look unlike iPhone X with a notch over the top.
As the industry is moving towards a new era of full-screen displays, the fingerprint scanning technology needs to evolve, to accommodate new users habits and demands for bigger screens without sacrificing user experience for users.
Vivo’s full-production smartphone is equipped with the industry-leading, world’s first in-display fingerprint scanning technology supported by global partner Synaptics. It works by peering through the gaps between the pixels in an OLED display with the latest technology.
Moreover, users can press the fingerprint graphic on the screen to perform unlocking, payment, and other operations. When fingerprint recognition is not required, the UI will be invisible and will not disrupt the overall visual experience this is a big change in the market.
How it Works:
When your fingertip touch on the target, the sensor array turns on the display to light your finger, and ‘only your finger’. The image of your print makes its way to an optical image sensor beneath the display of mobile.
It then runs through an AI processor that’s trained to recognize 300 different characteristics of your digit, like how close the ridges of your fingers are. It’s a different kind of technology than what most readers use in today’s phones.
The phone is ready for mass production and will be launched in Pakistan but after wait for couples of months.
